Russian
point cat is the offspring of pure Russian blue cat with a certificate
of origin and many of their ancestors with only blue furs and green
eyes. It means, both its parents were carriers of this genes (points).
This race, on which evidently has an influence the Siamese cats,
has a connection with masive crosbreeding of Russian blue cats with
Siamese cats in the past (after the war cca 1945). It goes here
about the same phenomenon as it is with the British cats, which
has been crossbreed with Persian cats and in consequence the British
breeders have sometimes got kittens with long furs. However, with
the British cats this case is not so dramatic as it is with Russian
blue cats.
All the offsprings of our breed of Russian point cats from different
generation have got the same external features and behaviours as
well. The interesting thing is, that in every generation where Russiaan
point cats appeared, Russian blue cats also appeared. These were
visualy "perfect" i.e. they had no white spots or white
furs among blue furs and had deep green eyes atc. Similarly their
characters were markedly different than it is with their relatives
Russian point cats, Russian point cats for instance not displayed
fear, care at all as it is with their "clasical" blue
relatives. In spite of their growth in the same conditions, it means
external environment played no role at all. |
